It’s been a long time in the working, but we’ve finally launched.
Introducing London Musik – a brand new music agency featuring some of London’s most in-demand artists.
It all started in 2007 in the student union basement bar of The Guildhall School of Music & Drama. It being a music college, you’d find many-an ensemble cutting their teeth in front of a packed out room of music students throughout the year and it is exactly here where Pandora’s Jukebox (our flagship show band) was born!
Comprised of a small group of friends initially, it has grown to a huge family over the past 15 years.
MD Dougie Freeman says:
“I took the opportunity to arrange songs by our favourite artists that we all loved for as big a band as would possibly fit in the basement bar! Of course that included classic artists like Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston etc but we also experimented with Pendulum, Nero, Calvin Harris, Benga, Katy B and other club land type artists & genres – seeing how far we could push it! Anything good and right for dancing, we’re up for playing”
Pandora’s Jukebox is primarily a large scale party band as its always been accompanied by a signature brass section. Whilst they have performed as a reduced lineup on occasion, it’s something they avoid doing unless there are serious venue restrictions (and only ever on off-peak dates).
A large band like that is only suitable for events that are having dancing and, as live music is now becoming much more prevalent at all types of event – often in the background – there is increasing demand for smaller sized lineups.
PJ’s musicians have been performing as smaller lineups for several years at private events and also residencies around london and so it felt like it was time to make it official and centralise where all these different bands and configurations could be booked. Hence the birth of London Musik!
All of the bands and artists we offer are either created in-house or by one of our close colleagues and so our quality control is unrivalled.
You will have a dedicated point of contact throughout the entire process, from enquiry to event and a direct line to the very musicians performing for you. There’s no wading through multiple departments of ‘middle men’ just to ask a question about marquee power or stage sizes!
